No. The breading includes black pepper and red pepper for a mild flavor. The Red Fish Breading has Paprika for color. These ingredients add flavor but a minimal amount of heat. If you fry the product, some spiciness will be lost in the process. Please make sure when baking or broiling, the mild spiciness will be present.

MSG is a flavor enhancer used in many products found in the market. We understand that MSG may be a sensitive ingredient to some people, and we offer a No MSG Red Fish Breading; however, the No MSG product is processed on the same equipment as products containing MSG.

Both varieties of chicken breading contain red pepper. The Chicken Breading/Hot & Spicy also contains a spice-extractive that adds more heat. Frying the chicken breading will lessen the impact of the heat/spiciness as you will lose some of the spices in the cooking process. Baking or boiling will give you a more intense flavor as the spices will not be lost in the process. You may add ½ cup of flour to the breading if you would like to minimize the spices.

Andy’s products can be stored at ambient temperatures (72°F or lower) similar to other household products like flour or corn meal. The product may also be stored in a Ziplock bag and refrigerated or placed in the freezer. This will maintain the product shelf life.

Andy’s shelf life is 30 months from production date. Please note that storage conditions must be followed. Breading should sealed and kept in a cool, dry area.

The products do contain salt. The degree of saltiness depends upon the person consuming the product. We offer a Low Sodium Red Fish Breading option. This option contains Potassium Chloride as a partial alternative to Sodium Chloride (salt). Consumers who are on blood pressure medication will need to monitor and/or limit potassium intake.

The Lot number contains the date of manufacture and the Batch number. For example: 07251902 was manufactured on July 25, 2019, and it was the second batch made on the day.

All of our products contain gluten, except for our Seasoned Salt, which is processed on the same equipment as all other products containing gluten; therefore, the Seasoned Salt may contain trace amounts of gluten.
